The Good Life

My twelve year old daughter has taken it upon herself to dress me. Not that I concede very often, but her desire to make me cool is strong. Her favourite thing is hair and makeup but my wardrobe, in her opinion, leaves much to be reckoned with.
She recently said, "Mommy, you're not quite there but you're heading toward the good life."
I asked her what she meant by that and she went on to explain, "As women get older, they've seen a lot of fashion trends come and go. When they're about 60 or so, they choose which style suits them and they aren't judged for it because of their age."
Hmmm... what exactly do you think she's getting at?

oh that's is so funny LOL! I think you are gorgeous, Heather...how sweet that Meg want's to "improve" you. My 15 year old makes suggestions to me on what to do with my hair/clothes too.

I remember doing that with my sisters. Actually, I think it was more my younger sister. She still works to keep all of us current (me included) even now. :)

Of course we would make suggestions, but then also borrow her clothes! She kept so much from the 70's and we had fun pulling those out and going for the 'vintage' look!

Ha! That is too funny. :) My girls are too young to be fashion conscious... when does that all start anyway??! :)

Great picture, you young chick! What does being 60 have to do with anything??!!! You haven't aged since high school (that's a compliment)!!!

Well, this just makes me sad because now I feel "oldish" as well, since I think you're always dressed so great and look beautiful!
