Overwhelmed

Today, I am overwhelmed by God's love. Spring is here, and although the temperatures are dropping again, the hope of the coming season invigorates me. I have so much to be thankful for and when the enemy comes in like a flood to destroy the joy, gratitude and praise are the perfect antidote.
I found myself on my knees at 3 a.m., admittedly, resisting, but urged by the Holy Spirit. Communing with the King of Kings when I don't always find the time in our busy day, is sweet when the house is quiet and my own breathing is the only distraction. It's there, He meets me and I share my requests for all of you. It's there, He reminds me that I've been discontent. It's there, He pours out strength so that I can face a new day.
There's no better way to spend the time I'd normally be sleeping, and the Lord always renews my energy.

That is very helpful.
You do something that takes up your "precious time" (we are trapped in time on earth) for Him, and HE gives back only in ENORMASS amounts more!
What a gracious God He is!
"...and the Lord will renew your energy." That is very true! Thank you for this post! That really helps me in the day when I'm feeling tired and worn out. He hears your call even when you don't call, He helps you.

Such a great reminder to prepare for the times when the flood can rush in and destroy our joy. Thank you for the reminder to pray even when it is hard to!

It's good to hear that I'm not the only one woken up in the wee hours of the morning for some time with our Father...
