Girl-Time

The bubbles were lathered into long hair, while little girls smiled and lavished the pampering. Since our "boys" were gone on a camping trip, it was our "Girls' Day", which would later entail dinner at our cousin's home, ice cream and a movie.

Nurturing their God-given qualities was what this weekend was all about. Daddy and Oliver were attending an annual "Warrior Weekend" with other dads and their sons to learn some outdoor skills and discover who God has designed them to be. And, although our girls enjoy climbing trees and kicking a soccer ball, they relish in the stuff that makes girls feminine. It's wonderful to spend some girl-time together to bond as females. I'm so thankful to have three little girls to cherish.

Oh, how wonderful. I never had sisters so I didn't realize how special that feminine dynamic can be. What a blessing and whole bunch of fun to bond in that way. My girls and I will have to copy your idea!

Yes, a pact to cherish every moment. (Even the ones I suppose where one or another of the children loses their shoes EVERY Sunday and we end up late... cherish them all, Bethany. :)
