A true representation of summer... watermelon in the grubby, chubby, dirty hands of children. Just as they dug into those big, red slices, it began to rain and they all ran up to the porch and huddled by the door. Likely, the only thing that would have brought them in out of the rain :)
Hey, this was me and my girls yesterday. Watermelon, Rain, the sounds of summer... however, I must admit my girls would prefer your pieces. Mine are always so small. That's sad, really... I like the "classic" watermelon indulgence.
I think I may stop by the grocery store on my way home today and buy a watermelon. :)I am not too good at determining, when it is ripe...so i am crossing my fingers that i will pick as good tasting watermelon as the one that your children were eating!!!
That first photo just makes me laugh! Your children make the watermelon look twice as sweet and juicy. And apparently I've been cutting my children's slices entirely too small! :)
I'm a nursery man's wife and teacher to my four kids. I'm learning how to make the most of my mountain-top experiences with the Lord in order to do combat in the valley :)
