Breastplate of Righteousness

I took this photo of my husband while I was shooting pics of flowers at the nursery. He was checking that the heaters were running well with the predicted cool weather coming. Later, when he saw this photo on my computer screen he said, "There's a man of God!" and we both noticed how his jacket design made a cross on his chest.
For many months, God has been changing Terry's heart and life and the growth has been fascinating to watch. I've witnessed his great desire to lead our family as a man of integrity, and what a comfort and security that is for me.
The breastplate of righteousness? Isn't that some ancient relic? Perhaps you might think so. But my husband wears one. Everyday.
"Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—" (Ephesians 6:14-18)
